I'm on boat!!

so about a week ago i got home from a very wonderful trip to the western caribbean!! it was so much fun and so relaxing...i loved it and want to go on one again right now!! my dad and i went on this cruise with a group of about 30 other people. it was interesting having a big group but we pretty much did everything on our own but did a few things with the group! we left salt lake on saturday september 26 and arrived in florida that night! it was so hot in florida it was ridiculous! that night we drove from tampa to cape canaveral, which is where our boat would be leaving from. after we checked into the hotel we walked to our room and at the same time we went to get in another couple was going into the same room so dad went and got us a new room. not only did we get another room we got upgraded to a suit! it was so nice....it had a livingroom, kitchen, jacuzzi, big bathroom, and the beds were king sized "my sleep number" beds, which by the way are amazing! these are pictures from the room! the boat was huge! we didn't really do much on sunday when we boarded the boat other than just walked around and looked at things on the boat. on monday we were at see and it was a relaxing day. i sat on the pool deck and read my book and got a lovely sun burn! on tuesday we were in labadee haiti. for our shore excursion there we went on a zipline. the whole time i was freakin out. i don't like things that are out of my element but in the end it was so much fun and i would do it again in a heartbeat! on wednesday we were in jamaica and we did the dunn river waterfall hike and it was amazing. the water was chilly but refreshing. dad never wanted to stay with group so i was always waiting for him but it's okay. after that we had a small tour of the island and that was nice. on thursday we went to grand cayman and went to sting ray city. it's pretty self explanitory. pretty much you go swim with sting rays. when we went there about 7 or 8 years ago i spent the whole time on my dads back....this time i was able to stand in the water and even better i was able to tough one of the sting rays. it's an increadible experience to be around hundreds of the amazing creatures even though i was terrified the whole time! on friday we were in cozumel, mexico. again i've been there before so we decided to go to the tulum ruins. and it was nice but very very hot! i got sunburned on top of the other days sunburns! it was still really cool to see them. i just wish that i could have climbed on them and what not! then on saturday we were at sea again. one of the nights i deceded that i was going to try the flowrider which is a thing that simulates surfing or bodyboarding. that thing is so much fun! i got to do both of them a few times each. i would love to do it again.
over all it was a really great vacation and just what i needed! i can't wait until my next adventure!!

AUGUST

Well it's the end of august now.....life is great!!
i still live in st george and i'm still attending dixie state college but twice a week i go to southern utah university! today was my first day and can i say scary!! i was not ready for it. i felt like i was going back into high school on the very first day of my sophomore year. it was crazy!! but i'm very excited for the school year!
not a whole lot has happened really....just a few new things here and there!
one day a few of my friends and i decided that since i don't get to go to the fair in salt lake that we would go to the washington county fair. it was so much fun! i have amazing friends! when we got to the fair there were bears in this huge cage.

so after we found out that they had these bears do a show...it was a must that we stayed to watch! the show was pretty cool. bears are fascinating. i wouldn't mind owning one it'd be like a dog!
after the bear show we went on a ride and it made all three of us sick! and that was the end of the fair. the night was most def amazing.

last night the school put on a carnival and there was a pie eating contest...which i have always wanted to be in....so me and my friend derrick signed up as a team. the contest started and i looked at the clumpy banana cream pudding and it made me sick so i wasn't able to eat any of it and derrick was stuck eating it by himself! but we still got a free pass to the rec center so it was totally worth it!!

San Fran

About two weeks ago my amazing daddy and i got the wonderful chance to go to a conference in fabulous San Francisco, California! Even though i was by myself most of the day everyday i was still able to enjoy san fran like anyone else would!
on sunday (july 12) i drove from st george to salt lake and then daddy and i proceeded to reno. spent the night there and woke up had breakfast at the buffet in circus circus and then continued to san francisco! it was probably the shortest drive i have done because i was asleep for 90% of it! we got there we decided to go do the site seeing stuff before we headed off to the hotel. when we went to get tickets for alcatraz they told us that the next avaliable tour would be that thursday at 3:30 pm so alcatraz was no longer an option! bummer! then we went and booked a tour thing around the harbor that took you to the golden gate bridge and then around alcartaz and back to the pier. while we waited for that to start we walked around pier 39. we got to see the sealions and then we went into a bunch of different stores and just window shopped pretty much!

after we walked around pier 39 we went on a little boat tour around the harbor. it was pretty fun but it was really cold and windy! got to go under the golden gate brigde and see the outside of alcatraz. i had a lot of fun doing it.

then after our boat tour we went to dinner at a restraunt called wipe out! the food was pretty good i do suggest it! and i think my dad would too!

then on tuesday i went shopping and the next day i rode the cable car!

it took me down to fishermans warf, so i walked around there for a bit and i went to the famous chocolate square and then because i didn't know the trolley cost anything i was only able to afford one way so i had to walk on the way back! now please keep in mind this was not a close walk. the hotel was 28 blocks away from fishermans warf. the first 6 blocks were up hill and it wasn't just a normalo uphill street.....they had what seemed like a 55-60% grade!! it was gross and very tiring!

on our last day we walked across the golden gate bridge! that was an amazing experience. the whole time dad was giving me random facts about the building of it and the upkeep they have to go through with it. it took us about an hour and a half to walk to 1.7 miles there and back! it was pretty foggy when we started but by the end you couldn't see much unless you were right next to it. it was also very cold!! but still very enjoyable!!

over all it was a good trip!
oh and on the way back i was driving for a little bit and this little black looking bird was flying and it flew a little too low and i hit it with the car! probably the saddest moment of my life!! but other than the bird dying it was a really good trip and i can't wait until the next one!!
